Operation

  • Do a string contraction (at the right).
  • If the input string is longer than the given desiredSize, contract it and add ellipsis (...) at the right.
  • This is useful to generate table-data values where the most useful information is at the left of the string. If the input string is shorter, it is send to the output unchanged.
